- Remember the coyote attack from yesterday’s newsletter? Arizona Games & Fish Division Needs Help from the public to track down the coyote suspect. Call 623-236-7201 to report any coyote sightings near 94th Street and Thompson Peak Parkway to Cactus Road. Reports can be generated 24/7. The coyote in question is suspected to have been illegally fed in the past as it does not appear to be afraid of people. Parents are advised to keep children outdoors until this coyote is caught. - Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams has opened a new location It takes place March 1st in Old Town Scottsdale on Fifth Avenue and Marshall Way. Customers can choose Buttercrisp his waffle bowls and cones, or traditional bowls and cones, to fill with over 18 flavors. - according to National Community Survey, Residents Love Scottsdale! The survey was conducted in December and January of this year and the results reflect a 90th percentile rating for livability, quality of life, daytime safety, fire, library and public services. More than 90% of respondents recommend living here and plan to live here for the next five years. Compared to 2017 responses, the new survey showed a slight drop in overall safety and overall layout, but a slight increase in perceptions of honesty and transparency in city government. - Discount retailer Tuesday Morning closes several stores in Arizona Amid the financial crisis, stores are selling everything, including Sonoran Village in Scottsdale, 15449 N. Hayden Road, and the store at Ste 101. After the closure of his 11 locations in Arizona, he will be left with only 7 locations in the state and 215 locations nationwide. (news break)

- The city of Scottsdale Controversial approval to amend “1-mile section of 68th Street from Indian School Road to Thomas Road.” According to the city, “North and south of that segment, 68th Street is one lane in each direction, and traffic data indicates that this segment is not frequently congested enough to warrant an extra lane. The project will narrow the roadway to fit the segment, modifying the medians and adding right and left turn lanes to the north and south of the project to improve traffic flow and safety.
