10 Dems Join GOP Lawmakers To Pass Resolution Condemning Biden-Harris Admin Over Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal

On Wednesday, 10 Democrats joined 209 Republicans in passing a House resolution condemning the Biden-Harris Administration's response to the botched Aug. 26, 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal.

This resolution: Condemn “Failure of decision-making and implementation” during the Afghanistan withdrawal Passed The House of Representatives passed the resolution by a vote of 219 to 194. The resolution blames 15 officials from the Biden-Harris administration for “failures” that contributed to the Abbey Gate suicide bombing that left 13 American soldiers dead. “More than three years after our withdrawal from Afghanistan, President Biden and Vice President Harris have yet to hold anyone accountable for this catastrophic failure of epic proportions,” said House Foreign Affairs Chairman Michael McCaul. testified Monday in the House Rules Committee.

“If the administration refuses to be held accountable, then the duly elected representatives of the American people must be held accountable,” McCaul continued.

The resolution censures President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and other officials in the administration.
