PHOENIX — The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office seeks public cooperation in the unsolved double murder of two Valley residents.
A reward of up to $10,000 could be offered to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest in the case.
On April 23, 1999, two bodies were found in a ditch beside Highway 93 between Wickenburg and Wikiup. Both victims had gunshot wounds to the head.
The victims were later identified as William Rodriguez, 39, of Mesa, and Rebecca Rubalcaba, 20, of Phoenix.
Rodriguez was 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighed 175 pounds, and had dark hair and brown eyes. He was also known as “Cuba” or “Cubano”.
Rubalcaba was 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighed 140 pounds, and had brown hair and green eyes. She was sometimes called Rebecca LaRue.
