The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management announced that the Vein Fire is now 80% contained at 1,291 acres.
About 70 firefighters worked along the edge of the fire Sunday, checking for any remaining heat and trying to contain it.
Police are asking people to stay away from the fire scene. Several people were reported to have fired shots, which the department said posed a danger to firefighters and delayed suppression efforts.

The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management said the fire is now 1,291 acres and 50% contained.
Crews were able to contain the fire throughout the night.
Approximately 80 personnel have been assigned to fight the fire, including firefighters, engines, and water tankers.
Highway 82 is not affected, but motorists should be aware of emergency vehicles in the area.

The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management said the fire is currently 1,000 acres in size and “remains very active.”
The ministry says no structures are currently under threat.

The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management said it was battling a 500-acre vein fire 11 miles east of Sonoita.
Air support has been activated and “national overhead” is underway, according to a social media post from the ministry.
