YUMA, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – The Yuma Police Department (YPD) has arrested a 14-year-old suspect for robbing five businesses.
YPD officers responded to the robbery on Monday, February 20 at approximately 9:19 pm in the 24th and 1st Avenue area.
According to the YPD, a man broke a window into the building, sounded an alarm and left the scene before police arrived.
YPD Sergeant was patrolling 24th Street at approximately 3:04 am on Tuesday, February 21st.
They saw a man who matched the robbery suspect’s description in an image posted on the YPD’s Facebook page.
YPD said it found the suspect to be a 14-year-old boy, took him into custody and booked him into the Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center in five separate robberies.
