16-year-old arrested after fatal shooting in northern Arizona

KINGMAN, Arizona — A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after being accused of shooting dead a 19-year-old near Kingman.

The Mojave County Sheriff’s Office said police were dispatched to the Chaparral Mesa neighborhood north of Kingman around 3:45 p.m. after receiving a call of a possible shooting. A young man was later informed that he had been shot and taken to a local hospital.

The victim, later identified as Kingman’s Anthony Altiglio, was not spared injuries, according to the MCSO.

A teenage boy who suffered minor gunshot wounds during the incident was later arrested and sent to prison. The MCSO said the suspect is expected to be charged as an adult with second-degree murder.
