An exploding pager killed 19 Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members in Syria, the Jerusalem Post reported on Wednesday, citing Saudi Arabian news agency Al-Hadath.

The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon was also injured in Tuesday's explosion, according to CBS News.
“On September 17th, Hezbollah announced the deaths of 12 of its fighters, including the son of a Hezbollah MP,” tweeted Joe Truzman, a senior analyst at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. “The Lebanese group did not provide details of the deaths, but most were killed in Israeli pager operations targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria.”

“Hezbollah issued a statement offering condolences to the families of its fighters wounded or killed in Israeli pager operations,” Truzman said in another tweet, attaching a screenshot of the terror group's statement. “Hezbollah reaffirmed that it will continue its attacks on Israel in support of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Hezbollah has been firing explosives towards Israel since October 8 in solidarity with Hamas attacks on October 7 that left some 1,200 people dead and more than 200 taken prisoner. Israel has retaliated against the attacks, and cross-border skirmishes have raised fears of a larger conflict.
