PHOENIX — A 20-year-old man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of shooting a man in Phoenix, officials said.
Antonio Velasquez of Israel has been arrested and charged with charges including murder, Phoenix Police said.
Officers responded to a shooting near 67th Street and McDowell Road around 5:30 a.m. and found Juan Jaquez with a gunshot wound in the street, police said.
Jaquez was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Police said Velázquez and Jaquez had a confrontation outside their home before the shooting.
Velázquez fled the area after the shooting, police said.
Detectives found a probable cause for Velázquez and took him into custody.
No additional information was available.
