Adult wrestlers from across the country compete in Olympic-style freestyle and Greco-Roman. 2023 Masters National Championship at the Southpoint Hotel and Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

There are seven 2022 Masters Double Champions on the roster, having won both the Freestyle and Greco-Roman divisions. They include (along with current age group and weight class): James Medeiros California (100 kg, Division B), Ben Wombauer BCWC (62 kg, Division C), David Yee Mad Cow WC (62 kg, Div. C), Jeff Bertkowiak Arizona (70 kg, Division D), Kevin Pine Grays Harbor WC (88 kg, Division D), Bruce Moe Bison WC (70 kg, Category E), Charles Jones Nevada (100 kg, Div. E), Steve Contarino Florida (88 kg, Div. F) and peter hague Chicago WC (78 kg, Division F).

Jones, an NCAA champion at Purdue, made his Masters debut last year and registered again.

This event is not a qualifier for Team USA to the 2023 Veterans World Championship. However, many of the 2023 Masters National athletes were members of last year’s Veterans World Team or have competed at previous Veterans World Championships.

Yi won the 2022 Veterans World Championships in both styles, and Pyne won the 2022 Veterans World Championships gold medal in the freestyle. Elsewhere he has two of his 2022 Veterans World Champions registered to compete in Las Vegas and Veterans World Greco-Roman his champion. As of April 22nd, there were 388 entries for the Masters Nationals in Las Vegas. Traditionally, international wrestlers have been welcomed at the event, and currently teams from Canada are registered.
