PHOENIX — The Pinal County Sheriff's Office arrested 18-year-old Garrett Bagshaw on Friday in connection with an aggravated assault case.
This arrest is related to the same incident that led to the arrest of 20-year-old Jacob Pennington on Wednesday.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Pennington allegedly stated in an interview after his arrest that he was in a relationship with Gilbert Goons.
Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb said in a video posted to X (formerly Twitter) that other suspects involved in the incident should turn themselves in.
Today (1/12), PCSO was able to identify and locate a second suspect in an Aggravated Assault incident that occurred in Pinal County on 11/18/23. Garrett Bagshaw, 18, was arrested in Mesa. Ram also said The Mike Broomhead Show on KTAR News 92.3 FM Investigators used video and other evidence to identify Pennington, who attacked a 16-year-old boy on Nov. 18.
According to the probable cause statement, video showed multiple people assaulting the victim in a desert area near Wagon Wheel Road and Sun Dance Drive that day around 9:45 p.m.
Rick Kuehner, father of the victim of Gilbert Goon's alleged attack, said: Gaydos & Chad Show On Friday, he was frustrated that authorities were not taking action.
“I'm glad to know that steps are being taken, but it's even more frustrating that it took so long that if due diligence had been done in August, he would have been arrested long ago,” Kuehner said. .
