3-Year-Old Orphaned After Kidnapping Turns Into Police Standoff And Alleged Murder-Suicide

A 3-year-old lost his parents in a standoff with police and an alleged murder-suicide in the Las Vegas area.

According to LVMPD Lieutenant Jason Johansson, eyewitnesses called 911 and said, “A Hispanic man entered a nail salon, held a woman at gunpoint, forced her out of the store, and forced her into a silver SUV.” . 8 Current news report.

Witnesses described the vehicle and license plate number, which helped police identify the suspect, the report said. This led them to a house about 25 miles from the abduction scene, according to the newspaper.

Lieutenant Johansson pointed out that there were two adult women and a three-year-old child in addition to the kidnapping victims, the newspaper reported. Police were able to free a child and a woman from the house, the newspaper said.

8 News Now reported that after police found the kidnapped woman unresponsive, they stormed the house and pronounced her dead at the scene. Her ex-boyfriend later shot herself in the head and took her to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, the paper reported.

The rest of the women were later found unharmed in the bedroom shared by Lieutenant Johansson, according to the newspaper.

To avoid a tragedy, Lt. Johansson called on those in domestic violence situations to “get help,” according to 8 News Now.
