Drowning prevention tips:

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, drowning is the leading cause of death in children ages 1 to 4, excluding birth defects. Three children die each day as a result of drowning. Here are some tips from the CDC on how to keep your kids safe on the water.

Learn life-saving skills.

Everyone should know the basics of swimming (floating, moving through water) and CPR.

Enclose it with a fence.

Install a four-sided isolation fence with self-closing and auto-latching gates around your backyard swimming pool. A pool fence should completely separate the home and playground from the pool.

life jacket is Must.

Even if you know how to swim, always wear a life jacket in and around natural bodies of water, such as lakes and oceans. Life jackets can also be used in and around the pool for non-swimmers.

keep an eye on

Always supervise children carefully when they are in water (including the bathtub). Drowning occurs quickly and quietly, so adults watching children in or near water should avoid distracting activities such as reading, talking on the phone, or using alcohol or drugs.
