Volunteer numbers for this year’s Havasu Balloon Festival & Fair are looking good, but more support is needed, according to the event’s volunteer chair.
Balloonfest will hold a volunteer meeting at the London Bridge Resort on Saturdays from 9am to noon. This meeting is an opportunity for those who have already signed up to volunteer to receive a list of his band, volunteer shirts and ask questions, but it is also an opportunity for him to sign up for one of the remaining 400 shifts.
According to Volunteer Chair Rick Kerber, Balloonfest needs volunteers to help with event preparation, carnival attendants and 50/50 raffle ticket sales.
Kerber also said the festival needs a dishwasher in the VIP tent. Kerber says it’s a “pretty good gig” as volunteers get food and work in warm tents.

Volunteers who can’t make it to Saturday’s meeting can stop by the volunteer tent at the fairgrounds and pick up wristbands and shirts starting Wednesday, Kerber said.
