48,000 fentanyl pills seized during traffic stop in Arizona

The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office announced that the tablets were recovered by authorities during a stop on October 25, 2022.

WINSLOW, Arizona — Two people were arrested on felony drug charges after traffic stopped near Winslow this month.

Lucia Rodriguez-Corrales, 33, and Marisol Ceniceros, 31, were pulled over by officers from the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit on October 25. The stop reportedly occurred near her exit 253 on Interstate 40.

While parked, Officials said police K-9 alerted after walking around vehicle. Further inspection of the vehicle uncovered over 48,000 of his M-30 fentanyl pills. The drug’s market value is reported at $1,215,000.

There were about 500 rainbow pills. This is a recent trend seen nationwide among dealers. This is the first time officials have seen them in Navajo County.

Rodriguez-Corrales and Ceniceros were booked for transporting drugs for sale, possession of drugs for sale, and possession of drugs. Both women are bound with a $150,000 cash-only bond.
