A statement shared on Monday details how one of the oldest stone tombs ever discovered in Sweden hid an eerie mystery.

“We do not believe violence was involved as there were no injuries identified on those buried. However, we are continuing to study their DNA and are looking forward to finding out if they carried any disease. “We'll know if it was,” Sjögren said.
Further analysis is expected to reveal whether the missing body parts were the result of some sort of ritual. This place was only discovered in the summer of 2023, so there's a lot left to dig into.
