A few days ago, the NBA launched a routine investigation into the Sixers to determine if there were any violations of the league’s player participation policy due to Embiid missing multiple games, including a nationally televised game. The NBA found Philadelphia did not commit any player participation violations, but found that the team’s public comments about Embiid’s knee were misrepresentations.
In an official statement, the league cited comments from head coach Nick Nurse and president of basketball operations Daryl Morey as “consistent with Joel Embiid’s health status and in violation of NBA rules. “There is,” he said.

When the first news broke about the NBA’s investigation into the Sixers, I didn’t think we’d get much out of it, especially considering it’s a routine investigation from the league. But here we are. However, one question I have is why the NBA doesn’t clarify about these “public comments.”
I think they told the 76ers that, but damn, it’s so annoying when you’re as meddlesome as me.
