Many of the city’s restaurants face the 1800s London Bridge. Once a British landmark that spanned the River Thames, it was purchased from the City of London and relocated to the Arizona desert in the 1960s by the enterprising Lake His Havas property developer. Lake Havasu City has many outdoor patios. Here are nine of his places with great views of the river and what to order when you’re there.

For a refreshing lunch, I love the Baja Shrimp Cocktail, a spicy mixture of shrimp, coriander, tomato, onion, cucumber and avocado, all marinated in citrus juice and served with tortilla chips.

For special occasions, consider Javelina’s giant molcajete bowl of grilled chicken, grilled New York steak, lobster and jumbo shrimp served with rice, beans, cheese, guacamole and salsa over green peppers and onions. The bowl is huge and definitely designed for multiples.
