Juan Williams Proposes True Reason Kamala Is Not Running for Governor

Juan Williams Discusses Kamala Harris’ Decision Not to Run for Governor

On a recent episode of Fox News, Juan Williams suggested that Kamala Harris’ choice to bow out of the California governor race may be linked to disappointing internal polling results.

Harris confirmed her decision after speculation about her political ambitions, including the possibility of a run for the presidency in 2028. During “Special Report with Bret Baier,” Williams expressed that the internal vote tally strongly influenced her decision.

“She observed those internal numbers and realized that despite her presidential campaign, there wasn’t robust support for her gubernatorial run,” Williams remarked.

He noted a growing sense of discontent among Democrats, saying that many aren’t expressing a desire for her return to the race. “They’re searching for leadership,” he added. “There’s a need for a clear message.”

It seems Harris may still be positioning herself with an eye toward 2028, as Williams hinted, “That could be the direction we’re heading.”

In the aftermath of her 2024 presidential election loss, sources revealed that Harris indicated to her aides her desire to keep her options open for the future. During her deliberations, her team focused on crafting a message that would resonate against President Donald Trump, reinforcing her role within the Democratic Party.

Williams also highlighted data indicating a challenging road ahead for Republicans in the midterm elections, predicting significant losses. He quoted pollster Tony Fabrizio, who pointed out the precarious situation for Republicans, especially given the historical trend of the party in power losing seats in midterms.

“Voter sentiment is remarkably unified in its frustration. This is causing alarm for Republicans,” Williams said, suggesting that upcoming elections could lead to substantial shifts in Congress.

“People are forecasting five or more seats swinging towards the Democrats,” he noted.

In contrast, House Speaker Mike Johnson expressed optimism on CNN about the Republican Party, predicting they would break historical trends and expand their House majority in the upcoming midterms. He showed confidence in the GOP’s success, despite the usual pattern of the sitting president’s party losing seats during the first midterm election.
