Brain Power Wellness Reviews Program Expansion to Arizona Medical Clinic’s Staff and Parents of Autistic Children

CCHCI recently participated in BPW’s Online Teacher Course. Consistent with other Brain Power Wellness reviews, CHCI staff believe the new practice helps them be more mindful and present.

Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc. CCHCI in Southeast Arizona is revolutionizing clinic meetings and support groups for parents of autistic children by incorporating Brain Power Wellness exercises. The results have been overwhelmingly positive for all participants, providing a powerful tool for promoting good health and positive change.

CCHCI participated in a recent cohort of online teacher courses hosted by Brain Power Wellness.like any other Brain Power Wellness ReviewCHCI staff believe that the addition of Brain Power Wellness practices has enabled them to be more attentive and present.

At CCHCI, all staff members engage in Brain Power Wellness Exercises just before starting their weekly meetings or when staff feel burnt out during the day. These exercises increased staff productivity and teamwork, and strengthened peer connections.

Founded in 1996, CCHCI established its roots as the only community health, immigrant health, and public housing health center in Cochise County, Arizona.

In August 2022, CCHCI created and now operates support groups in both English and Spanish for parents of children with autism in the town of Douglas, Arizona. In the past year alone, CCHI has seen 71 of her autistic children at the Douglas Clinic. About 30 families are currently in support groups.
