LSU Freshman JT Lindsay Surrenders to Authorities
JT Lindsay, a freshman running back for the LSU Tigers, turned himself in to the police after discovering that two murder suspects were staying in his dorm. The suspects, Keldric Jordan, 18, and Sheemel Jacobs, 17, were wanted in Louisiana for charges of second-degree murder and armed robbery, as reported by the Alexandria Police Department. Both were apprehended on Monday within the LSU dorms by U.S. Marshals.
Jordan and Jacobs are accused of the homicide of a 17-year-old, linked to incidents that took place in May. Lindsay was arrested on Friday and charged as an accessory to second-degree murder. He was released later that day after posting a $5,000 bond.
The affidavit states that Jacobs had possession of Lindsay’s school ID and PIN, which granted him access to the dormitory. Reports indicate that Lindsay and Jacobs were seen together prior to the incident, with July 24th noted as a significant date.
Lindsay’s attorney, Chris Perrett, shared with WAFB-TV that Lindsay was unaware of the serious allegations against Jordan and Jacobs. “My client JT Lindsay has been arrested as an accessory for allowing these individuals to stay in his LSU apartment for a few nights around July 24th,” Perrett explained.
He emphasized that there had been no evidence linking Lindsay to the crimes committed in mid-May 2025 in Alexandria, Louisiana, stating, “There’s no indication that JT Lindsay was involved in any way with the alleged wrongdoing of those arrested.”
