(Central Square)- Former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Karin Taylor-Robson is considering running for the 2024 Senate.
“Karin is exploring all options. She will be very formidable in 2024,” a spokesperson for Robson told Center Square.
Numerous reports have named her as a potential Republican candidate, but speculation ran high Wednesday night when she spoke with the Maricopa GOP City in Pinal County.
“I’m glad we were together [Taylor Robson] Tonight I hear her deliver an exciting and forward-thinking vision of how we can win for our great state!” her former campaign manager, Jeff Glassburner, tweeted. “[Shoutout] Thank you for a wonderful meeting with Maricopa GOP in Pinal County. She hasn’t lost a step. ”
Democrat Rep. Ruben Gallego is the only candidate so far declared to run for Kirsten Cinema’s independent seat. Cinema has not disclosed whether it will seek re-election.
Taylor Robson faced Republican Kari Lake in the 2022 primary, but ultimately lost with 43% of the vote compared to Lake’s 48%.
Lake won the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, and Taylor Robson won the endorsement of former Arizona Republican governors, including Doug Ducey. Former Vice President Mike Pence also came to Arizona and stumped Robson.
After losing powerful Republicans like Lake in November, Taylor Robson called for the resignation of former chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, Kerry Ward.
“Ward had every chance of succeeding. Yet she failed. And failed. And failed again,” Taylor Robson said in a statement.
Ward did not run for re-election and is now chaired by Jeff DeWitt.
Taylor Robson is the founder of Arizona Strategies, a land-use consulting firm in Phoenix, and a former member of the Arizona Board of Directors.
