Josh Shapiro’s Moderate Image Is a Fake—Prevent His 2028 Ambitions

Pennsylvania Governor’s Moderation Questioned

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s claim to a “moderate” stance is increasingly seen as a facade, and his track record certainly supports that view.

Looking back to 2020, during his tenure as Attorney General, Shapiro openly supported Governor Tom Wolf’s aggressive lockdown measures. These restrictions not only shuttered businesses but also severely impacted the livelihoods of many families. His backing of Wolf’s mask mandate and vaccine initiatives, it seems, prioritized control under the guise of public health. I can’t help but think that many hardworking families pretty much lost everything because of these power moves.

What’s moderate about Shapiro’s actions? Some might call it political theater. It feels more like an attempt to dominate rather than promote genuine freedoms. He’s positioning himself for a presidential run in 2028, and his actions often reflect a deeper agenda.

Fast forward to 2025, and Shapiro filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, aiming to block restrictions on federal funds related to gender transition procedures for minors. This seems less about compassion and more about appealing to the progressive left while maintaining the façade of centrism.

Trump’s policy seeks to protect children from irreversible decisions, yet Shapiro’s push is about ensuring that taxpayer dollars flow into this controversial area. So why this sudden shift? Perhaps it’s strategic, aimed at winning the favor of radical Democratic supporters who endorse expansive governmental roles, despite many Americans being opposed to such ideologies.

Shapiro’s approach to fracking reflects another inconsistency. While he campaigned on regulating the oil industry, in practice, he has backed off and done little. Oddly enough, this flip-flop ultimately benefits residents of Pennsylvania, yet it indicates a reluctance to follow through on commitments.

Working-class voters can see what’s really happening: Shapiro appears willing to sacrifice the welfare of Pennsylvania families to elevate his national standing.

Election integrity has become another hot topic, with Democrats historically dismissing concerns as conspiracy theories. Yet, there seems to be a shift now that the election has occurred. Shapiro’s actions appear to engage with contradictions, further pushing his political agenda.

Turning to 2028 has become a clear focus for Shapiro. He had the opportunity to join Kamala Harris in a VP slot for 2024 but reportedly avoided it, likely due to concerns about Harris’s dwindling popularity amid Trump’s resurgence. A recent book even suggests that Shapiro’s name came up as a potential choice, but his hesitation speaks volumes about his awareness of political risks.

He’s created a slogan about getting things done, using it as a launchpad for future ambitions while engaging in litigation against progressives. It’s like a familiar play from the Democratic handbook.

Interestingly, Shapiro once supported initiatives for school vouchers but quickly backed off when faced with opposition from the left, illustrating a willingness to turn his back on vulnerable students for the sake of political maneuvering.

In light of issues like the national debt and border security under the Biden administration, Shapiro seems engaged in strategic planning for his next steps rather than addressing pressing concerns.

His 2020 measures hurt small businesses, and now, the lawsuits he pursues could endanger children while he looks to score political points. It raises doubts about his priorities—does he care more about Harrisburg, or does he have his sights set on Washington?
