No. 4 Flagstaff beat Eastmark 4-0 to advance to 4A playoffs

COTTONWOOD — With two goals from Ciara Garcia, Nathalie Alangre and Alexis Taylor each, the Flagstaff Girls’ soccer team beat No. 13 Eastmark 4-0 on Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles’ (15-2-0, 5-1-0 4A Grand Canyon) victory will advance them to Round 2 of the 4A State Playoffs on Saturday, where they will face No. 12 Arcadia.
All four of Flagstaff’s goals were scored in the second half. The No. 4 Eagles forced Mingus to play at Union High School after a winter storm hit Flagstaff and buried the field in snow.
The official Saturday start time is set for 2:00 PM at Flagstaff High School.
