Tlaib Describes Gaza as America’s ‘Compass’ at Anti-Israel Event While Those Supporting Genocide Show Fear

Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s Remarks at Anti-Israel Rally

During an anti-Israel rally on Sunday, Michigan Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib claimed that Gaza serves as a “compass” for the United States and asserted that those funding genocide are feeling the pressure.

Tlaib delivered a passionate address at the Palestine People’s Assembly, an event linked to groups labeled as terrorist organizations in the U.S. She criticized supporters of Israel and the U.S. for their roles in the suffering of children in Gaza, accusing them of using military power to “kill, torture, and deceive people globally.”

“Genocide supporters and funders are scared. I see it happening every day in Congress,” she expressed during her speech. “They can try to stall us, but we continue to grow. With every Palestinian they kill, we gain strength.”

Tlaib has consistently accused Israel of war crimes amid the ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza, aligning with others in her party and some media commentators calling for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

She is also an advocate for the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement, actively encouraging institutions to sever ties with Israel.

Additionally, Tlaib has participated in contentious events, including one earlier this year with speakers like Wissam Rafidi, who referred to the U.S. as the “Snake’s Head” and labeled it “the greatest liar in history.” Rafidi has made statements denying any hope for a two-state solution, insisting that only a democratic Palestinian state can put an end to the “Zionist project.”

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which Rafidi is associated with, has been implicated in various violent actions, including attacks and hijackings aimed at furthering the Palestinian cause.

Tlaib’s office has not yet responded to requests for comments regarding her latest statements.
