Authorities Discover Multiple Children and an Infant Locked in a Storage Unit, Two Individuals Taken into Custody

On Tuesday, police in Wisconsin found multiple children, including a mere two-month-old baby, locked inside a storage unit, leading to the arrest of two adults, as reported by TMJ 4.

The Milwaukee Police Department reacted promptly to reports about a child trapped in a nearby storage facility, arriving at the scene at 1:36 AM. They discovered six children, aged between two months and nine years, inside the unit.

While the police indicated that the children were unharmed, a 26-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man were taken into custody. Details about their relationship to the children haven’t been clarified.

A tenant of the Storsafe facility, Donnie Earl, expressed his shock regarding the situation. “I’m shocked, I’m confused, I don’t seem to see the kids here,” he said. Earl visits the facility daily.

A neighbor mentioned that he had observed children around the storage unit in recent days. Local resident Tonya Lowe remarked, “It touched my heart. I couldn’t believe it. We failed these kids, as people, as a community.” She continued, “They didn’t have support. We’re cruel and we don’t have to treat our children like animals and lock them up in places they don’t deserve to be.”

At this point, police have not confirmed if the arrested individuals are related to the children. The children are now under the care of Child Protective Services.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office is contemplating charges against the suspects. An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the police.
