Coconino County Sheriff’s Department detectives are investigating the death of a person whose body was found south of Sunset Crater National Monument on Friday.
Lawmakers were summoned to a popular tourist destination after the death was reported.CCSO identified the subject and launched an investigation.
Investigators have ruled nothing out, according to John Paxton, now a spokesperson for the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office.
While the investigation is ongoing, not much has been released about the person’s name, age, or circumstances of death.
