We cannot thank College Peaks Bank enough for this generous donation. As you know, Chaffee County is considered a childcare desert, especially in infant care. CCECC is committed to increasing childcare slots in communities by building capacity in existing centers and helping emerging providers open new childcare centers and family daycare facilities. We plan to use these funds to support early childhood professionals currently working in our community and those looking to enter the field. Strengthen Chaffee County’s early childhood workforce By doing so, you will be able to secure a new childcare frame. These funds will help providers access early childhood mental health counseling, professional development, and more, as well as help create early childhood training programs and alternative pools across the county.
Lindsey Cali, Executive Director of MENTOR Colorado, said:

Dan attended Arkansas State University from 1978-1982. So he chose the name “Dan R” because his fraternity brother couldn’t pronounce the surname. He lived in Jonesboro for his ten years and worked as a radio and television weather forecaster. His radio career remained in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually Colorado.
Dan is a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club, currently a board member of the Salida Community Center, a member of the Chaffee County Fairs Commission, and enjoys being involved in the community.
