Vital Battery Metals Solidifies Battery Metals Portfolio with Acquisition of Schofield Lithium Project

  • The Schofield Lithium Project is adjacent to the Lowther Pegmatite Project at Brunswick Exploration.
  • With 17 pegmatite outcrops mapped in the project and favorable geological setting, the Scofield Lithium Project demonstrates potential for LCT-type mineralization.

highlight:

  • Adjacent to Brunswick Exploration’s Hurst Lithium Project
  • Brunswick Exploration’s Hearst package shows 5.15% Li2O for past chip samples (see Brunswick Exploration Inc. news release dated October 3, 2022).
  • The project has 17 mapped pegmatite outcrops, which have not been fully tested for LCT mineralization.
  • The project is located 15 km north of the Quetico-Wawa subprovincial terrain boundary. These deep-seated regional structures are recognized to play a role in LCT pegmatite mineralization.
  • Located within the Quetico sub-province, it contains a variety of evolved S-type granites and pegmatites hosted by metamorphic sediments (Palanices) and volcanoes.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 7, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Vital Battery Metals Co., Ltd. (“important” or “company”) (CSE: VBAM |OTC: VBAMF | | France: COO) for the cost of staking the Scofield Lithium Project (“schofield” or “plan”). The project is located approximately 60km south of Hurst, Ontario and comprises 416 single-cell concessions covering approximately 8,824 hectares. The project is easily accessible by logging a road network and is located just south of Brunswick Exploration’s Hurst Lithium Project. The project was staked based on favorable geological settings and historical mapping of pegmatite outcrops.

Adrian Lamoureux, CEO and President of Vital, commented: The Northern Ontario region is untapped and we believe the acquisition of this project presents a low-risk opportunity that will bring value to our company. Schofield Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada; Sting Copper Project in Newfoundland, Canada; and Bent Copper Gold Project in British Columbia, building a strong portfolio of assets that continue to deliver shareholder value I’m sure you do. We continue to build a robust and diverse portfolio of critical minerals for our projects. ”

Schofield Project Geology

Historical mapping shows the project has 17 pegmatite outcrops1These range in size from decimeter veins to ~1600m x ~500m. Mapping indicates the presence of pegmatites in the project, but the company has not yet confirmed the size, extent or mineralization that may be present in the project. Although the project area has not yet been explored, there have been sporadic surveys of gold, bullion, metals and most recently diamonds between 1960 and 2001. No work has been completed on projects focused on the economic potential of current pegmatites.12

The project is located within Quetico Territory and includes a variety of evolved S-type granites and pegmatites hosted by metamorphic sediments (Palanices) and volcanoes. The Quetico Subprovince is host to several pegmatite groups such as Georgia Lake, Lowther and Wisa Lake. Quetico Subprovince pegmatites are formed by moderately non-migmatized metawackes (e.g. Lake Wissa pegmatite of spodumene subtype and Lake Georgia pegmatite of albite spodumene type) and their parent granites (e.g. MNW pegmatite and lepidolite of petalite subtype). Hosted. -subtype lowther township pegmatite) (Pye 1965; Breaks, Selway and Tindle 2003a, 2003b).12
