Yuma, AZ (KYMA, KECY) – The city of Yuma will host the second and final day of the 4th annual BBQ & Brew event.

The event kicked off in downtown Yuma on Friday, bringing together barbecue delicacies not just from Arizona, but from across the country.

Not only that, but BBQ & Brew is a sanctioned event and a stepping stone to bigger events.

“We have expanded this event.We had a lot of participation from BBQ teams from all over the country.These BBQ teams can qualify for the World Championships.It’s a big deal. said Joanne Fizer, the city of Yuma’s festival coordinator.

Teams that win the Kansas City Barbecue Society Award advance to the World Championship.

Additionally, local panelists judged the dishes as attendees roamed Main Street to join beer gardens and listen to local bands perform.

Additionally, Saturday’s event included a steak cook-off by Doug Nicholls and the BBQ team, and a raffle.
