It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Pauline Helen Pedregón on Saturday, February 4th, 2023.
Paula was born on March 30, 1971 to parents Carlos and Josephine Pedregon. She grew up in the small mining town of Clifton, Arizona, where she grew up until 1985 when her family moved to Tucson.
After graduating from Rincon High School, she remained in Tucson for the rest of her life, working and spending time with her family and friends, including her dog. She loved all dogs.
After hard work, she earned an associate’s degree from Pima Community College. In 2008, she achieved her lifelong dream by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, a painting-focused studio her art, and graduating with honors from the University of Arizona.
During her career, Paula has made her mark by utilizing a wide range of techniques to create an incredible amount of work. She had a brilliant talent for sculpture. Her work has been exhibited in several galleries in Tucson and Arizona.
In addition, she designed and personally sculpted the award presented to Mayor Regina Romero. Former US Congressman Anne Kirkpatrick’s office in Washington DC also had one of her paintings on display.
Paula’s spirit and talent lifted our hearts and made her family proud. She was always able to bring laughter and smiles to the many people she crossed her path. I miss her more than I can say, but I can be grateful to know that she lives in peace with the Lord.
Paula lost her beloved father, Carlos Pedregon Jr.
Paula is survived by her loving mother, Josephine Pedregón. Her brothers Chris Pedregon and Carlos Pedregon III. her nephew, Chris Pedregon Jr.; Her precious Chihuahua, Luis. And many more cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Worship services begin Saturday, February 11 at 9:30 am at San Xavier Mission, 1950 W. San Xavier Mission Rd., with a memorial service at noon at Café Santa Rosa, S. 6th Ave. 2615. , at the banquet hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Raices Taller 222 Art Gallery and Workshop in Paula’s name to support the arts or to support the University of Arizona Department of Neurology.
