Man arrested for dangerous drugs in Fort Mohave | Kingman Daily Miner

Fort Mojave – Deputies for the Mojave County Sheriff’s Department have arrested 44-year-old Jared Ray Burton Rice of Medford, Oregon on felony charges of both dangerous drug possession and drug paraphernalia.

He was also charged with a valid warrant for misdemeanor possession of prescription drugs and failure to register as a sex offender.

On Monday, March 13, lawmakers were clearing trespassers from under a bridge on Highway 95 near Aztec Road in Fort Mojave.

A record check on Rice revealed an active arrest warrant from 2018, the MCSO wrote in a news release.

Rice was recently registered as a homeless sex offender and resides in the Fort Mojave area. A search of her pat revealed a small foul odor containing a white residue.

A representative asked if Rice had any illegal drugs, and he admitted he had methamphetamine.

A search of Rice’s backpack found about 16 grams of presumed positive methamphetamine, prescription drugs that were not his, and various drug-related paraphernalia.

Rice was arrested without incident and transferred to an adult detention center in Mojave County, the MCSO wrote.
