Phoenix (3TV/CBS 5) — another day, drizzling around the valley, up to 0.2 inches in places. However, most of the rainfall areas have about 0.01 inches of rain. Mesa, Deer Valley, Luke Air Force Base, and South Mountain all recorded gusts in the mid-1950s, but Sky Harbor peaked at gusts of 62 mph. Winds have already begun to drop across the state, with wind bulletins peeling into the valley at 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Around the state, a combination of snow and wind has occasionally resulted in terrible driving and whiteout conditions. Winds up to 73 mph in Flagstaff will continue to be quite strong tonight, with the potential for drifting snow. Other cities such as Eager, Sierra Vista, Prescott, Kingman and Douglas recorded gusts in the 60 mph range. A winter storm warning for the mountains in effect through early Thursday morning.
Looking ahead, look for generally unsettled weather in the Valley through Sunday. Most of the time it’s colder than the average temperature, with the possibility of light rain and drizzle. Signs of heavy rain are in sight, with the exception of Sunday morning. However, the amount of rain seems to be small.
