LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Parents of a 10-year-old girl who told school officials she was being abused at home will face charges of child abuse, the Mojave County Sheriff’s Office said.
Brandon Cobb, 38, and Jessica Cobb, 36, of Golden Valley are facing serious child abuse charges.
The 10-year-old victim told school officials in February that he was being abused in his home, according to the sheriff’s office. Her victim claimed her parents beat her with her electrical cords and golf clubs as discipline.
The sheriff’s office said the 10-year-old girl’s injuries were consistent with allegations of abuse.
Both Brandon and Jessica were arrested Thursday and taken without incident to the Mojave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman, Arizona.
