SAFORD — Graham County Treasurer Mary Bingham has announced her retirement.
“We have an ad in the Courier and have submitted a resume to the board of directors and are considering an appointment in her place. Told.
The county treasurer oversees the collection of property taxes and manages county investments. The Ministry of Finance also deals with tax liens and tax lien sales.
Mr. Bingham was first elected Treasurer in 2016 and was re-elected in 2020. This appointment will fill the remainder of her second term, which ends in 2024.
Prior to being elected treasurer, Bingham served as both a member of Safford City Council and deputy mayor.
