AWC enrollment tour prepares high school seniors for college | Yuma

Yuma — AWC broadens horizons and removes barriers to earning a college degree by meeting students where they are and providing resources and services to local high schools through the AWC Admissions Tour.

During the series of events, Yuma County and beyond high school seniors will have the opportunity to participate in advice and registration sessions from AWC freshman orientation, visit resources and program tables, and learn about the services offered at AWC. A Financial Aid Officer will also be on-site to answer questions about FAFSA.

Participating schools include Kofa High School, Cibola High School, San Luis High School, Gila Ridge High School, Vista High School and Yuma High School. Students from San Pascual High School and Antelope High School will also participate in events held at the AWC Yuma campus.

“Our recruitment and advisory team continues to foster partnerships with local high schools through our AWC admissions tours. You will receive support, information and resources,” said Biridiana Martinez, AWC Admissions, Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator.

“AWC is the only college in Arizona that has all three public universities on campus. You can start at AWC, seamlessly transfer to one of our partner universities, and stay here in Yuma or go anywhere to advance your education. Let me help you get started and enroll in your first semester of college.”
