While most people in Denver worked all day, thousands of people drank and enjoyed the Colorado Rockies’ home opener on April 6th. Purple-clad fans flocked to the field, and many made one last stop at his Tavern on Blake Street before it closed on his April 9, 20 years later.
The Rockies officially kicked off the baseball season in Denver with a 1-0 win in their first home game against the Washington Nationals. The stands will continue through the weekend at Coors Field.
Dairy Block celebrated its opening day by decorating the streets with purple and white balloons.
