Yuma County Emergency Management Provides Free CERT Program Training
YUMA, AZ (KYMA, KECY) – Yuma’s Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) program is offering FREE training in April!
The CERT program educates individuals in disaster preparedness, basic disaster response skills, terrorism, and disaster medical operations for the hazards that may affect the community.
After training, CERT volunteers can help others in the community after a disaster when professional responders are not immediately available.
CERT volunteers are encouraged to assist emergency response agencies by playing an active role in emergency preparedness projects.
To complete the program, you must attend all four sessions listed below, which will take a total of 22 hours, according to the County Emergency Management Agency.
Thursday, April 13, 2023 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday, April 15, 2023 8am-5pm
Thursday, April 20, 2023 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday, April 22, 2023 8am-5pm
Classes are held at the Yuma County Public Works Training Room at 4343 S. Avenue 5 ½ E.
