FLAGSTAFF, Arizona — Repairs are underway in Lower Lake Mary’s levee following a leak over the weekend, according to Coconino National Forest officials.
“In the event of a levee breach, no campgrounds, recreational facilities, or private homes would be at risk. Forestry officials are adhering to the closure order until the levee is assessed and repaired, and other We are asking the public to find and rebuild the area.”
The cause of the leak is currently unknown. Officials said there are many places around the lake that are still accessible to tourists.
Coconino County is asking the public to stay away. Stay clear of Forest Service Road 296 and his 296B while the crew is assessing the situation.
