Fort Huachuca, Arizona (KGUN) — Secret wars are not fought any differently today than they were decades ago. Advances in technology are increasing electronic and cyber warfare.
Fort Huachuca hosts a variety of trainings for soldiers throughout the year. This week’s Vanguard event allows contractors to showcase a variety of technologies that can be used in electronic warfare.
“We have been the primary range testing facility since the early 1950s,” said Maj. Gen. Tony Hale of the Intel Center of Excellence and Fort Huachuca.
“This allows us to do things here at Fort Huacca that we can’t do anywhere else on the continental United States.”
Some of the technologies on display were drones, jammers and computer systems.
Over 180 prominent visitors flocked to the venue for the week-long event. They were members of the Army, other military branches and contractors.
“Fort Huachuca, surrounded by the Wistones, Chilichua and Huachuca Mountains, is right here in the bowl of the Sierra Vista,” Hale said. Huachuka.
Soldiers from all branches of the military will attend the event and be trained on some equipment, gain experience with the equipment before it is deployed in the field, and provide feedback and thoughts on the technology. can.
