A Roxbury man was arraigned on Friday in connection with the crash of the Roslinade three-story ship in March. Killed one and seriously injured another.

According to prosecutors, Medina was driving south on Washington Street around 5 p.m. when he got into the northbound lane. His sudden movement allegedly caused another car to collide with a minivan and a triple-decker where Edigio D’Antuony and Joseph Cobb were sitting on the front porch.
While Cobb was hospitalized, Dantuoney was pronounced dead shortly after the impact.
According to the Suffolk County Attorney’s Office, the video shows Medina getting out of the car after the crash and talking on her cell phone before driving off. Investigators identified the suspect through surveillance video and eyewitness testimony.
Cobb’s daughter, India Rubino told Boston 25 News in March Her father’s condition has deteriorated since the former chef was hospitalized.
When he was first admitted to the hospital, Cobb was conscious and talking, but two days later he was hooked on a ventilator and he went silent.
“He’s not opening his eyes anymore. He’s not breathing on his own. He’s not talking anymore,” explained Rubino. “His life changed forever.”
Rubino also told Boston 25 News that her father didn’t know that his best friend, Dantooney, had died.
India Rubino recalled, “When my father was in pain, all he wanted was to see if I was his best friend.” “I didn’t want to put him back because I thought he wasn’t ready.”
Medina will return to court on June 26 for a probable cause hearing.
“This was a tragic incident, made all the more tragic by the fact that it was caused by a driver who did not wait for the lane to turn clear. “But another man was seriously injured and the driver faced serious criminal charges. It was all preventable by following basic driving practices,” said Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said in a statement.
No charges have been filed against the drivers of the other cars that Medina allegedly veered into causing the crash.
