State Route 88 Apache Trail at Tomahawk Road closure begins April 17

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers using State Route 88 Apache Trail at Apache Junction to allow extra travel time during the extended closure to improve drainage.

The intersection of SR88 and Tomahawk Road will be closed for 50 days starting Monday, April 17th.

Detours include:

  • If heading northeast on SH88, you can take eastbound Superstition Boulevard and northbound Goldfield Road to Lost Dutchman Boulevard, then west back to SR88.
  • Drivers heading southwest on SR88 can return to SR88 using westbound Lost Dutchman Boulevard and southbound Idaho Road.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and be alert around construction workers and equipment during operations.
