The Arizona Cardinals held a fan festival Tuesday at Arizona Western College in Yuma.
The Cardinals Caravan made its debut at the AWC. Cardinals fans of all ages from all over Yuma County line up in jerseys and cards wearing his gear to throw a soccer ball or pick up free gear, mascot Big Red, tight end Trey McBride, former Cardinals. Juan Linares of Yuma took his sons John and Matthew. Everyone was wearing Cardinals jerseys and enjoying cotton candy and festivities.
“It’s a really good event,” Linares told KAWC. It’s fun because it shows that they care about their small town here and that we support them. ”
The caravan takes the Cardinals to fans outside the Phoenix area. It has been held at Albertson’s store in Yuma for the past few years.
Yuma’s Juan Garrison Yazi said he attended a past Cardinal’s visit to Yuma. Yazzy said he and his daughter Isanna are excited for the upcoming season.
“This season’s draft has been good,” Yazzy said. “I’m looking forward to seeing the line being built.”
AWC officials said they were planning to host a caravan in 2020 before the pandemic changed everything. people gathered.
