Thatcher — The Small Business Development Center (EAC SBDC) at Eastern Arizona University hosted a graduation ceremony for four local women who graduated from the 2023 Greenlee County DreamBuilders Cohort on May 3 at the Morenci Lounge. Online courses and supplemental workshops taught by EAC SBDC Business Analyst Torey Cranford began on her February 22nd and ran weekly until her graduation.

“Over the past eight years, 94 Graham and Greenlee women have graduated from the DreamBuilder program. It’s a relationship and an opportunity to get to know other female entrepreneurs,” Cranford said.

Funded by Freeport-McMoRan and created by ASU Thunderbird School, DreamBuilder is a unique online business training program designed to help women launch and grow their own businesses. The DreamBuilder program consists of 13 online courses that guide users through the basics of starting a business while simultaneously creating a business plan. EAC SBDC has developed nine in-depth workshops to accompany the online program. These supplementary lessons provide a richer learning experience for participants.

EAC SBDC attended and spoke with alumni Martha Lujan, Social Performance Manager, FMI Morenci Operations, Hannah Colvin, DreamBuilder Project Manager, ASU Thunderbird School, and Laura Dorrell, 2016 DreamBuilder Alumni and Mayor of Clifton. Thank you for doing this.
