Breezier with slightly cooler temps

Yuma, Arizona (KYMA, KECY-TV) – Dry weather will continue to hit the region.
For the rest of the week, there will be occasional winds and strong winds in the afternoon and evening.

A continuous discharge from the Painted Rock Dam continues down the Gila River through Yuma County.

Flood warnings along the Gila River between the Painted Rock Dam and the Colorado River have been extended for an additional seven days, at least until May 30.

Winds are starting to pick up this evening/tonight with stronger westerly winds expected in Imperial County with gusts of up to 30 mph.

Yuma County will be breezy with southerly winds that can bring gusts of up to 20 mph.

Higher winds, more dust, and north-northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph and peaks of 40 mph are expected in Imperial County by tomorrow evening.

Dust patches will affect Imperial County from these winds.

High temperatures are expected to remain flat over the next few days and remain 1-2 degrees below normal or close to normal through tomorrow.
