Police in southwestern Arizona are investigating a weekend shooting that left two dead and five wounded, including a teenager, officials said Sunday.
Victims ranged in age from 15 to 20 at a rally in Yuma on Saturday night. According to the Yuma Police Department.
Police said in a statement that officers were called in just before 11pm local time and found several gunshot victims, all men.
Two of the victims, aged 19 and 20, were taken to the Yuma Regional Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.
The 19-year-old was taken to the hospital before police arrived on the scene, and the Yuma Fire Department took the 20-year-old to the hospital, according to a statement.
A 16-year-old boy was also taken to the same medical center and then to Phoenix, where he sustained life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said the injuries to the remaining 15, 16, 18 and 19-year-old gunshot victims were not life-threatening.
Police said several off-duty officers who happened to be in the area also responded to the shooting.
Investigators are interviewing multiple witnesses on Sunday, said Sergeant John, a spokesman for the Yuma Police Department.Laurie Franklin CNN affiliate KYMA reported..
The suspect has not yet been taken into custody as authorities continue to investigate, according to a statement.
