Man faces multiple charges after resisting arrest

TUCSON, Arizona (KGUN) — On Friday, May 26 at approximately 9:13 am, the Sahuarita Police Department responded to a report of a dispute involving physical domestic violence.

The incident occurred on the 600 block of Tormo Street.

The suspect was identified as Rui Trujillo and arrested.

Trujillo is guilty of this recent disorderly conduct (first degree misdemeanor), threats and threats (first degree misdemeanor), aggravated domestic abuse (fifth degree felony), and obstruction of justice (first degree misdemeanor). He was also indicted on charges. Incident.

SPD said he refused to turn around and put his hand behind his back after being told by police that he would be arrested.

The SPD said Trujillo told officers they had to fight him.

Officers said they held talks with Mr Trujillo to calm the situation and persuade him to comply with the arrest peacefully.

Police said Mr Trujillo fled from police on foot and was shot with a taping gun.

He continues to resist arrest, and police report that they struggle to handcuff him.

Police used pepper spray to overwhelm him as they tried to arrest him.

Trujillo was eventually handcuffed and arrested.

Trujillo was arrested and placed in the Pima County Jail, along with another charge of resisting arrest.
