32nd Annual Sedona Arts Festival Showcases Over 100 Juried Artists

sedona news – The weekend of October 7-8, 2023, the 32nd Annual Sedona Arts Festival will feature a diverse line-up of over 100 jury artists from around the country. Held on the campus of Sedona Red Rock High School at 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road in West Sedona, this prestigious arts festival features live music, raffle prizes, food and beer against a breathtaking backdrop. and wine gardens are also featured. Considered Sedona’s oldest and largest premier arts event, the Sedona Arts Festival boasts award-winning artists working in a wide range of mediums, from painting to sculpture to glass and more. “After 13 years of coordinating this event, what I really appreciate is the relationships we have built with the artists,” said festival director Lori Reinhart. There’s something really special about getting a piece of art from someone you know and admire for their talent. It’s like having a piece of it at hand. The Sedona Arts Festival features a great mix of returning artists as well as new artists who keep the show fresh and interesting each year.

Last year, the Sedona Arts Festival partnered with a group of Verde Valley ceramic artists led by Ben Loti Ceramics. The group will return to demonstrate different approaches to working with clay and showcase a selection of beautiful handcrafted pieces available for sale. Their appearance at the Sedona Arts Festival is in preparation for the 2nd annual Verde Valley Pottery Festival, which will take place November 18th and 19th, with the aim of raising awareness of contemporary studio ceramics. Unique items handcrafted by a local potter will be on display.

In addition to famous artists and their work, the Sedona Arts Festival is proud to feature live music throughout the weekend. The lineup will be announced in the fall.

The Sedona Arts Festival rounds out its offerings with beer and wine selections, as well as a variety of food truck choices. Gourmet Row sells locally sourced kitchen, bath and home goods. The annual art raffle supports arts education across Sedona and the greater Verde Valley and offers a wide range of prizes, including works of art from festival-participating artists. Proceeds from last year’s draw were donated to Chamber Music Sedona to support music education programs.

Attendees will enjoy a wonderful fall day in Sedona with great art, food, drink and music. Admission to the Sedona Arts Festival is $15 at the gate and $15 online. www.sedonaartsfestival.org. The Sedona Arts Festival is supported by the City of Sedona, the Sedona Chamber of Commerce, and the Arizona Arts Commission.
