We have some sad news from the football world.
Zlatan IbrahimovicThe AC Milan and Swedish superstar striker sadly announced his retirement on Sunday.
With his contract expiring at the end of June and no plans to extend his injury-hit season, the 41-year-old has announced the end of his illustrious career.
Ibrahimovic said at a press conference that he had kept the announcement a secret until now.
“Even my family didn’t know, because they wanted everyone to hear it at the same time when I announced it,” Ibrahimovic said.
Ibrahimovic achieved records during his two stays at AC Milan 93 goals in 163 appearances. He helped Milan win Serie A last season, the second league title he won with Rossoneri. Ibrahimovic scored 561 goals for club and country combined. He is Sweden’s all-time top scorer with 62 international goals (121 appearances).
Throughout his career, he played for multiple sexy brands including Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Ajax Amsterdam, Milan, Inter Milan and LA Galaxy.
