What a waste of champagne.
After landing 72 feet long eagle won the RBC Canadian Open in Sunday’s playoff four holes, Nick Taylor I had a friend who wanted to celebrate the moment with me. But event security had a different thought.
His sidekick (and fellow golfer and compatriot) as Taylor emerged victorious Adam Hadwin I picked up a bottle of champagne, shook it, uncorked it, and ran out onto the greenery for the party. However, before reaching Taylor, Hadwin was completely blown onto the putting surface by guards. We’re talking NFL style here. It’s Canada, so it’s CFL.
So, for those unfamiliar with who Adam Hadwin is, he’s a PGA Tour winner and two-time President’s Cup winner. He’s shown even more stardom, most recently throwing his first pitch at a Toronto Blue Jays game. But it didn’t matter, my man happened to be a little too drunk and he was treated as if he was an attendee who assumed he was part of the event. The problem is Hadwin (he’s done) T12).
This is Taylor’s winning moment, and Jim Nantz is heard admitting that Hadwin was tackled.

What I want to know is… how the hell did this happen?
This guy is a star, he’s a PGA champion, he’s a branded man throwing the first pitch at an MLB game, and most importantly in this scenario, he’s Canadian. In a home country where Adam Hadwin is so popular, why would that security guard make the grave mistake of not knowing who Adam Hadwin is? At an outrageous golf event? I think someone might lose their job after this…
