Expect a Lot More Californians Looking for Refuge in Idaho

The outflow of population from the West Coast could soon accelerate. I found the video in my morning feed. The feature featured Peter Zeihan, who has given career briefings to military personnel, politicians and think tanks around the world. He looks at history, demographics and economics to make predictions. The reason he is so in demand is because he is accurate. He predicts that China and global supply chains will collapse. Zeihan proclaimed that the post-World War II era was over. He believes many developed economies are in the midst of decades of decline, followed by a resurgence of growth.

Unlike many who see the United States in decline, he argues that North American geography will once again bring us a century of American dominance.

In his latest video, Zeihan looks inside California. If California were an independent state, it would be the sixth-largest economy in the world. Looking into the crystal ball, he says it won’t last long. Watch the video below.

All of this indicates that we will see more transplants. But overall numbers are more likely to see more diaspora in Texas and Arizona than in Idaho. It seems that the most conservative ex-Californians have landed here.

This week, I had an on-air conversation with the Representative for American National Prosperity. The result, she agreed, would be an even darker shade of political red. This doesn’t bode well for “moderate” Republicans.
